The new Turtle Creek expansion is open and is it ever nice !! The new casino is the same quality as much of Atlantic City & Las Vegas. It is sq-ft with slot machines, game tables and restaurants, night club with a new poker room. The poker room has 10 tables and is the nicest in the state of Michigan !! Just inside of the main entry desk there is a waiting area AND a Poker Bar is adjoining the poker room - how convenient !! The worst thing someone can do is to buy a poker table only to find out about another type that would have been much better for you. So, I am going to try to describe the basic choices available so you can make an informed and hopefully the best decision for you.
The most basic playing surface is to use a poker felt on your own table. These are very inexpensive but can slide around and are often smaller than the table. Some of the graphics can be fairly poor as well. If you can only afford $15 - $20.

Charity Poker continues to grow in popularity. With the high price of gas more people are opting to play at a closer charity poker game than make a drive to one of the casinos around the state of Michigan. The final table for the 2008 WSOP no-limit Texas Holdem poker Main Event will take place on November 10, 2008. The nine players for the final table will be determined and then there will be a 117 day break until the final table is televised live on ESPN. This is the first year of this format.
